The Great, Big, Planning Blog Thing

By now you’re hopefully foaming at the mouth with excitement. You’ve got this wonderful idea that’s been tormenting you for weeks, like an itch that you just can’t reach. It’s time to put pen to paper, ink into words. It’s time to finally - finally! - sit down and write that novel.

Wait a minute! By catching literary rabies (a disease which still runs rampant in some parts of the universe), you’ve lost all sense of reason, and have therefore overlooked an important ingredient, you might say, of the completed first draft.

Or have you? You see, here we have a fork in the road.

Do we go this way? )... Or do we go this way? )

The Great Big Writerly Link Blog Thing

WRITERS! May I have your attention, please!

Yes, even you at the back. Stop fidgeting and listen!

Clearly they aren't listening. *shouts* Oi! Mate! Your head's on fire!

Right. Now that I have your attention, have this extinguisher. And now let's proceed.

You may have noticed that my sidebar has undergone a change in the last week or so. The links list has now been divided up into three sections: Kelza's personal/contact links, the charities I support and, last but not least, the Writers section. Lixin, aka the wonderful [livejournal.com profile] bulletbox, has already got her very own shiny link there.

So, this is the post in which I invite you all to throw your writing links at me, whether they be separate blogs on LiveJournal, your personal journal which you lob all your writing onto or a blog that isn't here in the Eljayverse. You can link to my blog if you want.

It might help, especially to those of you who, like myself, aspire to be published, to have connections dotted about on the Internet. I'd say more, but there isn't much else to be said! Now, without further ado, hurl your links if you so please!

This can only be taken as a good sign.

Have you ever had that feeling, when you take a break from a novel, that gnaws at your very soul? The gut-wrenching, spirit-burning desire to say a big 'sod you' to your supposed break and start writing again?

Well, that's how I'm feeling right now. I've been taking a break, and half a week in the novel's prodding me saying 'hey, what's the matter? Where've you been? Why am I still not finished?'

IMMA COMIN', NOVEL, IMMA COMIN'! *jumps into trolley and wheels away into the distance - which is the Irish Sea, incidentally*
