  • 06:51:40: All that planning last night, all that research into photographing eclipses without killing your eyes/camera... and it's cloudy outside.
  • 06:52:07: As you can all imagine, I'm quite annoyed by this. Also, snow?! WHY?!
  • 06:53:05: Dear Universe: I asked for something wonderful last night. You clearly missed my memo classifying snow as SHITE.
  • 07:09:12: @eatthepen Actually, I had two bedtimes and a haulage of arse off Twitter to get stuff done C: I'm having four bedtimes today, as I'm irked.
  • 07:12:17: Maybe the clouds will clear up. I hope so. I'm still going out at half eight and bringing my camera with me.
  • 07:13:20: It just sucks, though. Even if it had been clear and I got rubbish photos, at least I could say I'd seen the eclipse and made the effort.
  • 07:28:10: About half an hour until the eclipse begins in London. I'm gonna start getting ready now. You never know, it could clear up.
  • 08:03:32: @rosiebunny Nope, still dark out :P But apparently it's overcast outside; I haven't looked properly but I should, just to make sure
  • 08:08:52: @rosiebunny There is is Newton, mightn't be where you are. It's only an inch or so, nothing too bad. I might still get some pretty shots :)
  • 08:10:54: Right-o, time to get Viv (my camera), my shoes, and get out to my proposed vantage point to see if things cleap up a bit!
  • 08:11:30: *clear. Damn you, keyboard.
  • 21:05:29: @primortia @rosiebunny No joy with the eclipse today. All we had was clouds and a dull morning :( Cambridge had a great view. *fist shake*
  • 21:10:09: @primortia Hopefully soon :) I was out at my vantage point on time for it but the conditions were just appalling. There'll be more though :P
  • 21:15:41: @primortia Aw :( I woke up at half six this morning and went downstairs, only to have Dad kill a bit of my soul by saying 'it's cloudy' :C
  • 21:49:34: Trawled Twitter and the LJ, what to do now? I suppose I'll read. Going to take a break from writing to let my brain recover, and just read.
  • 21:50:12: So, without further ado, off to read before bed!
  • 22:00:15: @azuire I could spend it in bed, maybe, or in the bath. Or doing a thousand other novel-avoidance things :P
  • 22:08:30: @azuire Nope. The conditions here were quite the opposite to those in Cambridge; deplorable. Didn't stop me going out at 8:00 with Viv :P
  • 22:09:28: @azuire Do you reckon Nat Geo would see nonexistent photographs as valid and possibly avant-garde? A statement on our view of the eclipse?
  • 22:11:48: @azuire Pah. I'm going to scream 'PHOTOSHOPPED' and sulk in a corner, muttering that it should have been me. :P
  • 22:12:27: @azuire I'd probably win something, then, because my non-photos of the eclipse today fall into the latter category.
  • 22:13:16: @azuire Dresden got some lovely shots, by the way. i'm not bitter about that because it isn't in England. :P
  • 22:16:10: @azuire DAMN THEM. DO THEY NOT KNOW WHO WE ARE? ... Actually, I don't even know who we are. Who are we?
  • 22:21:16: @azuire Oh! Yes! Quite right! The Underrated and Mildly Annoyed, I might add! I might write an angry letter to Cambridge and its sky.
  • 22:26:02: @azuire P.S. by 'SOD OFF', we mean 'SOD OFF IN THE PAST, AND GIVE US OUR ECLIPSE BACK'.
  • 22:29:01: @azuire I'll fetch the coconut halves I MEAN mighty steeds, and a tea set for the journey. Does Camelot register on a GPS system at all?
  • 22:29:37: @azuire That's the second time I've seen that quote on Twitter in the last ten minutes. Freaky. *has a crisis*
  • 22:32:28: @azuire It's not the Python, it's a very naughty coincidence!
  • 22:33:52: The Mighty Boosh series 1 - 3 boxset on Amazon for £15.99. So much want. And slight unrelated hunger.
  • 22:36:36: @azuire Keep them, with all the spammers lurking about we may have a bunch of singing Vikings on our hands!
  • 22:56:26: @rosiebunny I'll try and be there (for once) :D I definitely need to get back into a writing groove after NaNoWriMo. The brain's frazzled!
  • 22:59:20: @rosiebunny Just to clarify, is FACT on Wood Street?
  • 23:07:23: Now for my second bed time. I'm very good at this multiple bed time thing but with my recent sleep record I may mean it tonight. #letired
  • 23:08:15: @rosiebunny Ah yes, so you did :D I've also screen-capped Google Maps, just to be sure. I won the Compass Award for a reason.
  • 23:17:14: @eatthepen Good plan. I'll harass @rosiebunny for hers, in case I need rescuing - hopefully it won't be necessary :P
  • 23:19:49: And now I'm going to bed! There's bed-time number three! I blame @eatthepen for making a sensible suggestion at a daft moment :)
  • 23:21:59: @eatthepen We'll have to contact the Guinness Book of World Whaddyacallits. And then I'll spend an entire day claiming I'm off to bed.
  • 23:22:35: My new title: Sir Kelsalot of the Many Bed-Times
