Just a quick update before I pop off to work.

The whole Tom situation from the other day has resolved itself. I can't remember if I've already mentioned it (I probably have, as a little side-note in a huge entry somewhere), but anyway, it has. I think I slept over at Jason's the Friday after all that went down.

In fact, it was Friday. Because it was only at 4pm on Saturday that I managed to get him out of bed! It was quite adorable.

Alas, I have another day with no Jason. I'm seeing him tomorrow for the pub quiz and he's coming to mine for the third time on Friday; I'll be going back to his after to sleep over.

Like I said in my last entry, Jason and Dave are going to the cinema today, just the two of them - hence I have an evening to myself (YAY INCENSE STICKS WRITING AND TEA). We were meant to go to the cinema last Wednesday as a trio but Dave phoned at the last minute saying he'd feel like a 'third wheel' going with me and Jason but not his own girlfriend, Alesha (sp? There are a million variations). So it's just the two of them today, and I can enjoy some quality solitude. Last night was pretty good, actually. I revisited Douglas Adams' 'So Long, and Thanks For All the Fish', then indulged in the aforementioned incense sticks, writing and tea. I played with Thelma a wee bit, then was bemused at our lack of severe weather and also a bright object in the night sky that faded out.

Yeah, I don't think I'm going to trust the Metro newspaper ever again. Though you'd do yourself good to never trust the media (says the one who's writing for a newspaper...) - you never know if they're biased in their coverage. Anyway, a few days ago the Metro printed an article that I was chuffed about, predicting severe weather, including tornadoes, in the UK as an end to this intense heat we've been having.

By 'in the UK', they meant the South East. Kent, Anglia, that sort of way. It's that typical Britain = London area media mentality coming into play again, which is especially odd for the Metro as it's a Liverpool-based paper. They've done it before with the recent droughts - made it seem like a nationwide issue when us lot up north were grumbling about in the rain, getting our pies damp. Again, only Anglia, Kent, Norfolk and that lot were affected.

Anyway, this object in the night sky. It was shortly after nine o'clock so it wasn't dark yet; the sky was that weird evening green, fading to yellow where the sun just lay above the horizon. I could see the object to the west, so it was 'near' the sun as far as I was concerned. It was one of those objects that doesn't flicker, so clearly not a star. My immediate thought was Venus or Mars or even the ISS; it had a steady glow that was clearly just reflected light. I watched it for a while, wondering what it might be, and then it simply faded.

Yeah. Weird stuff! I thought at first maybe the Earth had eclipsed it but both the object and the sun were out to the west. Nifty, eh?

Work has been getting a little easier. That monstrous to-do list I'd managed to accumulate is starting to get shorter, at last, and I've written a few more articles this week that would make rather good bylines in future papers. There's nothing quite like crossing another item off ye olde to-do list. What a magical feeling! It's a bit like inhaling a fairy.

I've just been to the front door to take a few pictures of a DOUBLE RAINBOW ALL THE WAY ACROSS THE SKY, OH MY GOD IT'S SO INTENSE - That means there are six pictures of rainbows on that roll of film. Whether they survive - well, that's up to the Great Gods of Max Spielmann. I sincerely hope I have better luck with this film.

Also, dear Semagic, kindly stop randomly inserting bulleted lists while I'm writing my entries. It's getting rather annoying. Yours sincerely, the Kelza. Now I think I'll make a cup of tea and leave you all alone.

... IT'S STARTING TO LOOK LIKE A TRIPLE RAINBOW.

Boys always seem to sleep for ever so easily! Glad things are going well between you two though :)

I know what you mean about British media and how the UK = London, especially on BBC News/Weather. The North does exist guys! We don't all wear flatcaps and go down the mines!
